Flight Mode

Rooted in shared fantasies of escape, artists Jess Blaustein & Tara Long transform a car into a winged creature. Part-bird, part-angel, its restless migratory body bears giant map wings and a camera eye. Calibrating systems of navigation and image capture, it monitors its surroundings—orienting between surveillance and escape, fight and flight.
